HKT (00215.HK) announced that it has launched the 3.3GHz to 3.6GHz frequency band known as the 5G gold spectrum today (18th) at Tin Hau station, which is the first station to be completed in the entire MTR 5G network expansion project. After the project is completed, consumers, including 3 Hong Kong and SUPREME customers, will be able to enjoy more abundant network resources when taking the MTR, even if they use it during busy periods and crowded environments. The project includes 24 busy stations of the MTR, including Tin Hau, Central, Admiralty, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, North Point, Quarry Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui, Yau Ma Tei, Prince Edward, Cheung Sha Wan, Lai Chi Kok, Mei Foo, Lai King, Kowloon Tong, Lok Fu, Wong Tai Sin, Diamond Hill, Lam Tin, Tiu Keng Leng, Hong Kong, Kowloon and Tsing Yi stations, covering the concourse, platform, and tunnel areas.
