On June 18th, Guo Lianhui reported that Tsui Wah Hldg (1314.HK) rose by more than 14% to HKD 0.208 in the intraday trading, reaching a new high since the end of November 2023. However, the transaction volume was still light, with less than HKD 2 million so far. The group announced a profit and expected the company's attributable net profit to be no more than HKD 42 million until the end of March this year. The expected profit is mainly due to the recovery of business in mainland China and Macao from the negative impact of the new coronavirus in 2019. Although the group recorded an attributable net profit of about HKD 60,6 million for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023, the group will record a loss of about HKD 23.6 million if the income from the sale of properties in Hong Kong by the group disclosed in the letter dated May 27, 2022 is not counted.
