Singapore's Straits Times Index closed the week flat on Friday, mirroring overnight losses in global markets. The Singapore market was closed on Monday due to Hari Raya Haji holiday.

During the day, the benchmark Singapore Strait Times Index ranged between 3,323.903 and 3,297.55, ending 0.81% or 26.98 points lower at 3,297.55.

In company news, shares of Vallianz (SGX:WPC) were up over 6% on Friday's close after it entered into a deed of settlement with DBS Bank to settle the Series A floating rate convertible bonds due 2029 with an aggregate principal amount of $47.4 million.

Oxley (SGX:5UX) was up nearly 3% on Friday's close after it bought back 140,500 shares in the open market on Friday for SG$11,194.

Meanwhile, Oversea-Chinese Banking (SGX:O39) was down 1% on Friday's close after it confirmed that it will maintain its offer price for the 54.7 million shares, representing an 11.56% stake in Great Eastern Holdings, at SG$25.6 per share.
