On the 14th, Nichishin <9066> announced that it continued to sponsor the Hamawing wind power project in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, following last year. The sponsorship period is from June 2024 to May 2025.
The location of the Yokohama City wind power plant (Hamawing) is Suzushigafuchi-cho, Kanagawa-ku, Yokohama City, with a generated power of approximately 2.42 million kWh (April 2023-March 2024), a operating rate of 61.6%, and a CO2 reduction equivalent to 1,015t-CO2.
In Yokohama City, wind power projects are being promoted as part of the promotion of the use of renewable energy and measures against global warming. Electricity generated from wind power is a clean energy source that does not emit CO2 and greatly contributes to reducing environmental impact. Nichishin will continue to collaborate with the local Yokohama City to contribute to decarbonization such as promoting and expanding the use of renewable energy and reducing CO2 emissions to prevent global warming.
