Company Overview
Sanji Kogyo Inc. <1961> is a facility company established in 1925 with the machine department of the former Mitsui & Co., Ltd. as its core. It began with the construction of the Shiga plant of Toyo Rayon Co., Ltd. (now Toray Industries, Inc. <3402>) and the refrigerated warehouse project of Aomori Seiei Co., Ltd., its first major project. Initially, it dealt with heating, hygiene, building materials, and the like, then expanded into electric equipment and has been primarily engaged in comprehensive planning, design and construction of building equipment.
After the war, the company's performance grew with increasing construction demands, and its capital exceeded 1 billion yen in 1958. It also participated in the Tokyo Olympics related projects in 1964 and expanded its business field from building equipment such as air conditioning, sanitation, and electricity to conveyors, conveyor systems, water treatment, waste treatment, and others. Currently, the company has become one of the top comprehensive building equipment companies in Japan. Regarding its stock, it was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) in 1950, and is currently listed on the TSE Prime Market.
The company celebrated its 90th anniversary in the fiscal year ending March 2016 and announced its long-term vision, 'Century 2025,' towards its 100th anniversary in 2025. Phase 1, the first step, was completed in the fiscal year ending March 2019, and Phase 2 has been underway since April 2020, achieving most of its initial goals in the fiscal year ending March 2022. From the fiscal year ending March 2023, it has entered Phase 3, the final stage of 'Century 2025.' Its future direction leading up to its 100th anniversary in 2025 is being watched closely.
