According to Zhitong Finance APP, Warner pharmaceutical factory (688799.SH) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Hunan Warner Dayoutang Chiral Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has received the approval notice for the listing application of ipratropium bromide chemical raw materials (Notification No.: 2024YS00529) issued by the National Medical Products Administration, and it has been published on the Registration Information Publicity Platform for raw materials, excipients and packaging materials for drugs on the center for drug evaluation of the National Medical Products Administration.

It is known that ipratropium bromide is a quaternary ammonium compound with anticholinergic (parasympathetic) properties, which inhibits the reflex of the vagus nerve through antagonizing the neurotransmitter acetylcholine released by the vagus nerve. Anticholinergic drugs can prevent the increase of intracellular Ca2+ concentration caused by the interaction between acetylcholine and muscarinic receptors on bronchial smooth muscle.
