China Shenhua Energy (01088.HK) announced that in May, the output of coal products was 27.4 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.9%; the sales volume of coal was 36.4 million tons, a slight year-on-year decrease of 0.8%. In the first five months of this year, the cumulative output of coal products was 136 million tons, an increase of 2.3%; the sales volume of coal was 191 million tons, an increase of 5.3%.

Within the month, both the power generation and sales volume increased by 4.4%. In the first five months, the total cumulative power generation and total sales volume increased by 6.8% and 6.9% respectively.
