Scenes from the “Maru-chan Summer Vacation Factory Tour” held at the Kanto Plant in July 2023
Toyo Suisan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Noritaka Sumimoto) will hold a “Maru-chan Summer Vacation Factory Tour” for children in grades 3 to 6 and their parents on 2024/7/22 (Mon) and 23 (Tue) as part of community and social contribution activities at the Kanto Plant.
This event will be held for the 12th time this year, with the theme of parents and children learning about food while having fun. On the day of the event, we visited the production line of “Green Tanuki Tenuki Soba” from the tour aisle and the biotope on the factory site※In addition to the tour, there will be a dietary education program to learn about the regional characteristics of dashi, and “original cup noodle making,” which combines favorite soup and ingredients based on “red fox udon.” You can apply until 6/20 (Thursday) using the dedicated form on our website.
*A biotope is a space where various wildlife originally living in that area can live.
■About the Kanto Plant
The Kanto Plant is our largest instant noodle manufacturing plant in Japan, and operation began in January 2010 as the flagship plant of the Toyo Suisan Group. At the same factory, instant noodles in cups are “red fox udon” and “green tanuki tempura soba,” and instant bag noodles “Maru-chan seimen” and “Maru-chan Zubaaan!” We manufacture things like that. Furthermore, it is positioned not only as a place for manufacturing, but also as a place for communication with customers, and we are accepting factory tours, opening baseball fields, tennis courts, and futsal courts on the site to surrounding residents, and carrying out community-based initiatives as a local company.
