B & S Intl Hldg (01705.HK) announced that it expects to record a profit attributable to owners of the company of HKD 33 million to HKD 34 million for the year ending March 31, 2024. Last year's profit attributable to owners of the company was approximately HKD 27.8 million.

Last year's performance includes a wage subsidy of approximately HKD 9.8 million received under the Hong Kong government's Employment Support Scheme 2022. The significant increase in profit is mainly due to (i) the launch of new products and an increase in sales of existing products, which improved the group's revenue and gross margin in the distribution business this year; and (ii) improvements in the group's retail business revenue and gross margin rate this year since the COVID-19 outbreak and the subsequent economic improvement of Hong Kong.
