According to local media reports, Qin Lihong, co-founder and CEO of Nio Inc (09866.HK), said at a domestic automotive forum that under the trend of electrification, the battery life issue is urgent and requires proper planning, just like the aging population problem.

Qin Lihong also pointed out that the battery problem is definitely not something that Nio Inc or any other automaker can solve alone. He hopes that more peers such as Dongfeng (00489.HK), BAIC (01958.HK) and Huawei's HarmonyOS-based smart EV platform can join the battery swapping camp to create a more reassuring and better overall car experience.
