On June 14th, Xiaomi's auto division announced that as of June 13th, cumulative deliveries of the Xiaomi SU7 surpassed 20,000 vehicles. In June alone, Xiaomi will deliver over 10,000 vehicles, and guarantee to deliver 100,000 vehicles throughout the year, with a goal of reaching 120,000 vehicles.
Earlier, there were media reports that Xiaomi Autos' sales had fallen sharply for two consecutive weeks. According to statistics from the China New Forces Brand Sales List, Xiaomi Autos sold about 2,100 vehicles in the 23rd week of 2024 (June 3-9), slightly lower than the 2,192 vehicles in the 22nd week of 2024 (May 27-June 2). Ranked last among new carmakers. According to statistics from the China New Forces Brand Sales List, in the 21st week of 2024 (May 20-26), Xiaomi Autos had sold 2,700 cars in one week, setting a record high since Xiaomi Autos went on sale.
In response, Wang Hua, the General Manager of Xiaomi Group's Public Relations Department, also posted on Weibo yesterday that the current number of locked orders is steadily increasing every day, "As a new car brand, we currently only have one model, and the number of delivery centers in the country is very limited, and we can still be on the delivery volume ranking list every week, so of course, the delivery pressure is huge."
According to a previous announcement by Xiaomi Group, the company had delivered 8,646 Xiaomi SU7 series cars in May 2024. The cumulative delivery of the Xiaomi SU7 series in 2024 reached 15,764 vehicles.
It is reported that in order to increase production capacity, Xiaomi Autos factory officially started double-shift production from June, and at the same time, in order to accelerate the efficiency of order matching with production, the company will reduce the lock-up period for large orders from 7 days to 3 days (72 hours) starting at 0:00 on June 5th.
In addition, it was previously reported that the Xiaomi Autos factory was recruiting a large number of workers, offering the highest monthly salary of 10,000 yuan, and a year-end bonus. Although Xiaomi has not made a clear response to this, Lei Jun made a similar statement at the Beijing International Auto Show at the end of April this year. At the press conference, Lei Jun issued a call for talents, inviting talents from all over the world to join Xiaomi and create dream cars.
From the Xiaomi Autos ordering mini program, it can be seen that the production capacity of the Xiaomi SU7 is still tight. After locking the order, the expected delivery time for SU7 is 28-31 weeks, for SU7 Pro it is 27-30 weeks, and for SU7 Max it is 32-35 weeks, the longest of which will take 8 months. However, compared to the expected delivery time at the beginning of June, the expected delivery time for SU7 Pro and SU7 Max models has been reduced by about 1 week.
