According to the news from the Smart Finance app, Lee Jae-yong, the president of Samsung Electronics (SSNLF.US), met with executives of Meta (META.US), Qualcomm (QCOM.US), and Amazon (AMZN.US) this week in the United States to discuss cooperation on topics such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing services, and semiconductors.
Reportedly, Lee Jae-yong met with the President and CEO of Qualcomm, Cristiano Amon, at Samsung Electronics' DSA in San Jose, USA on Monday to discuss methods of expanding cooperation in the future semiconductor market, such as AI semiconductors and next-generation communication chips.
The report also stated that Lee Jae-yong was invited to visit the home of Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, in Palo Alto, West USA on Tuesday, where the two discussed topics such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and augmented reality.
In addition, Lee Jae-yong visited Amazon's headquarters in Seattle and met with Amazon CEO Andy Jassy. Lee Jae-yong and Andy Jassy shared their views on the market prospects of their flagship businesses, such as generative artificial intelligence and cloud computing, and shared their ideas for further cooperation. Samsung Electronics officially stated that they expect the meeting between Lee Jae-yong and Andy Jassy to further deepen the cooperation between Samsung and Amazon.
