Muyuan Foods (002714.SZ) stated on its investor interaction platform on June 13th that the complete cost of hog farming in May 2024 is around 14.3 yuan/kg. The current designed capacity for hog farming is about 80 million heads per year, but the nature of the industry allows for great flexibility in production. With continuous improvement in production performance, enhanced personnel capability, and improved turnover rate of pig houses, the increase in output can be achieved without relying on new hog houses.
