Kyuden International Co., Ltd. (hereafter, Kyuden International), which is part of the Kyuden Group, is an on-site solar power generation business targeting small and medium-sized enterprises in India and South Africa^(note)We invested in the Swiss venture company “Candi Solar AG (Candi Solar AG, hereafter, Candy)” which is developing, and a strategic partnership agreement was concluded.

In India and South Africa, which are highly dependent on fossil fuels, Candy offers contract forms tailored to customer needs in order to promote the introduction of solar power generation facilities by small and medium-sized enterprises. Since its establishment in 2018, the company has been steadily gaining customers, and as of the end of May 2024, the contracted solar power generation output capacity has reached approximately 110,000 kW.

Through this investment and strategic partnership, Kyuden International aims to support the further growth of Candy and at the same time acquire new business opportunities and develop energy solutions businesses in India and South Africa, where economic growth is remarkable.

The Kyuden Group will continue to take on the challenge of realizing a low-carbon and sustainable society as set forth in the “Kyuden Group Management Vision 2030.”
