On June 11th, Gelunhui reported that Sichuan Meifeng Chemical Industry (000731.SZ) recently received the National Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's "Recommended Catalogue of Energy-Saving and Carbon-Reducing Technology and Equipment in the National Industrial and Information Technology Field (2024 Edition)" (No. 8 in 2024) to promote the application of advanced and applicable energy-saving and carbon-reducing technology and equipment, and promote energy-saving and carbon-reducing in key industries. The recommended catalogue includes three categories of industrial energy-saving and carbon-reducing technology, information technology energy-saving and carbon-reducing technology, and efficient energy-saving equipment. Among them, the "High-Efficiency Urea Synthesis Technology" jointly developed by the company and China Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd. was selected for the recommended catalogue, ranking first in the energy-saving and carbon-reducing technology recommended catalogue of the petrochemical industry.
The technology is mainly suitable for urea synthesis in the chemical industry. The technical principle is to use the two-stage urea synthesis technology, which divides the synthetic reaction into two processes: the first step is to generate methylamine reaction, using a low ammonia gas/carbon dioxide ratio and a high water/carbon dioxide ratio to increase the methylamine condensation temperature and produce low-pressure steam with higher by-product pressure; the second step is to generate urea reaction, using a high ammonia gas/carbon dioxide ratio and a low water/carbon dioxide ratio to obtain higher synthetic conversion rate. The decomposed and recovered materials of unreacted materials are moved to the medium pressure system, and the urea steam consumption is less than 650kg/t.
The successful selection of the "High-Efficiency Urea Synthesis Technology" this time marks that the advanced and applicable energy-saving and carbon-reducing technology for high-efficiency urea synthesis has been fully recognized by relevant national departments and will have a positive impact on the promotion and application of this technology in the chemical industry.
