Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, JAL) will deepen the air and land integrated transportation service “Hako JET” (*) in collaboration with Roofy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, Roofy), and will begin a new delivery service specializing in transportation that maintains the freshness of specialty products from 6/17. The new delivery service is offered as a “J-AIR direct fresh service” for flights operated by J-Air Co., Ltd. (hereafter, J-AIR), which is based at Osaka International (Itami) Airport, on Embraer type aircraft.

While physical transportation capacity is expected to be insufficient due to the “2024 problem” in the logistics industry, JAL and Luffy are working to deliver specialty products from various regions to a wider range of customers in a fresh state through integrated air and land transportation. By adding J-AIR's detailed air transport network connecting regions to JAL's speedy transportation capacity and thorough quality control transportation in Luffy's 3 temperature zones (room temperature, refrigeration, and freezing), we will strengthen seamless door-to-door transportation consistent by air and land in line with the diverse needs of customers.

Going forward, we will continue to create connections between regional operators and customers through high-speed, high-freshness transportation, which are the strengths of both companies, contribute to regional revitalization, and work to resolve social issues in logistics.

[Service application conditions]
Those that satisfy all of the following items and have been pre-approved as specialty products contributing to regional business/regional revitalization
(1) Things that can be transported from the point of shipment to the point of arrival on the same day
(2) Things to be carried on flights operated by J-AIR Embraer type aircraft
JAL reservation siteFlights with the notation “J-AIR operation” are eligible
(3) Those for which the shipping date, flight number, and quantity have been confirmed at least 5 business days before the date of transportation
(4) Items other than air transport restrictions
