In the afternoon, the Nikkei average rose from the previous day's closing price of 38,872.19 yen, up 307.46 yen to 38,991.39 yen. Meanwhile, the Nikkei 225 futures during lunchtime remained strong. In the morning, the Nikkei average gradually rose from the opening price and reached a stalemate in the 38,800 yen range. While Asian stocks fluctuated between highs and lows, the Nikkei average started with some strength in the afternoon opening. However, it is gradually returning to the pre-market level of increase.

On the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market, shares of Laser Tech <6920>, Socius Next <6526>, Mitsubishi UFJ <8306>, Softbank G <9984>, Hitachi <6501>, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063>, Toyota Motor <7203>, and TOWA <6315> rose. On the other hand, Disco <6146> and Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha <9107> declined. Insurance, petroleum and coal, and rubber products were among the top-performing sectors.
