Today, the Traffic Police Detachment of Haikou Public Security Bureau released a traffic accident briefing on the "Xiaomi SU7 traffic accident". After preliminary survey, the accident was caused by improper operation of the car driver (excluding drunk driving and drug driving).

The official Weibo account of the Yecheng Traffic Police in Haikou City released a statement on June 7, stating that at about 7:35 am, a car collided with two electric vehicles while driving out of the gate of the Chunjiang Yihao community on MeiYuan Road, causing one death and three injuries (one person is hospitalized without life-threatening danger, and the other two have returned home without hospitalization).
After preliminary investigation, the accident was caused by the driver of the car (ruled out for drunk and drugged driving) who operated the vehicle improperly. The driver has been criminally detained by the police for suspected traffic offenses, and the case is still under further investigation.
