戴文渊首篇高考作文:AI对生存的终极拷问

Dai Wenyuan's first college entrance examination essay: The ultimate question of survival for AI.

After reading today's college entrance examination essay about the application of artificial intelligence and its impact on our lives, I was deeply moved.

Suddenly, I realized that I myself have never taken the college entrance examination. I will try to express my thoughts and please correct and grade me.

The following is the main text:

With the popularity of the internet and the application of AI, more and more problems can be quickly solved. Will this mean that humanity will face fewer problems?

The answer is definitely not. On the contrary, there will be more problems.

In history, every productivity revolution has brought about the accumulation of new and old problems. When taken together, their resolution often leads to even newer problems.

AI will be able to generate text, images, and videos to replace humans. Companies like Fourth Paradigm, which focus on major model applications in the industry, can generate physical examination reports and hydrological models for enterprises. Currently, AI's behavior is still set by humans and cannot replace human thinking or emotions.

However, everything produced by set AI can become new information to construct the environment in which we live. This information can stimulate our senses and thinking and make us feel joy, anger, or sorrow, which can then lead us to further contemplation.

In this case, I believe that AI will bring about the following three "new problems".

Firstly, when there is no new technology, many problems are not mentioned. For example, in the absence of steam engines and the replacement of manual labour with machines, we would not have encountered the problem of how to use steam engines to complete heavy physical work. Similarly, without internet and AI technology, we were limited by the bottleneck of human brainpower and did not need to think about what could be done now that intellectual supply approaches infinity.

For example, when Toutiao has an unlimited supply of media editing intelligence, we can provide each user with their own exclusive newspaper and when Taobao can provide unlimited shopping guide intelligence, we can provide each customer with their own shopping guide.

The future is not about AI replacing humans, but about humans who know how to use AI replacing those who do not. In fact, people who use AI can open up a field with unlimited intellectual supply, greatly increasing productivity, and naturally have a better chance of standing out in competition.

Secondly, once new technology becomes powerful enough, it will inevitably lead to security issues. In the past, gunpowder, nuclear energy, and genetic technologies have all caused us to think about safety. Twenty years ago, we did not need to worry about any AI security issues, only about its usefulness. But today in 2024, AI security is a problem we cannot afford to ignore. For example, drones can provide us with different perspectives for filming, but they can also cause harm to civilians. Whether technology is beneficial or harmful depends on the users of that technology. Preventing technology from falling into the hands of criminals and becoming a new problem.

Thirdly, new technology can also bring about changes in social structure and new ethical issues. Just as the age when machines replaced manual laborers led to a large number of unemployed laborers, we do not need to worry about the final result. But the process of laborers transitioning to cerebral workers is still a social issue that we need to confront.

The internet and AI technology, as things stand, will replace the work of many cerebral workers. In the future, the value of low-end cerebral laborers will decline, and a large number of people will need to transition to high-end cerebral laborers, or more appropriately, thought workers. How to solve the social problems that arise during this transition is something we will need to deal with in the future.

In short, new technological changes bring about new material world formations, and the information and real world environments in which we live in will be different because of technology. Therefore, the ultimate issue we face is renewal, more and deeper. How humans exist will always be a question we approach, yet never quite answer.

The question of how humans exist will always be an eternal state of approaching the answer, yet never being able to obtain it.
