According to "Sina Hainan" report, on the morning of June 7th, a serious traffic accident occurred in Chunjiang Yihao Community, Meilan District, Haikou City. A Xiaomi SU7 pure electric car suddenly lost control when it was exiting the parking lot and rushed into the non-motor vehicle lane where electric vehicles and pedestrians were normally driving, causing one death and one injury (Update: later changed to one death and three injuries).

At present, the public security and insurance companies have intervened in the investigation.

Recently, the Futur Mobility Conference 2024 (Second Session) was held in Shenzhen, and Lei Jun, the founder, director and CEO of Xiaomi Group, spoke at the conference.

Regarding the future car delivery plan, Lei Jun also revealed some information at the conference: "In June, our factory started working double shifts. We aim to deliver 10,000 units in a single month, and ensure the delivery of 100,000 units for the whole year, with a goal of 120,000 units. Many people may think that this goal is nothing special, but to be honest, delivering 120,000 units of a single car model in nine months is a goal that breaks the industry records."
