According to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Hong Kong's official forex reserves at the end of May were $417.2 billion, an increase of $800 million from the end of April. Including unsettled forex contracts, Hong Kong's forex reserve assets at the end of May were $417 billion, compared to $416.4 billion at the end of April.
The total forex reserve assets of $417.2 billion is equivalent to more than five times the circulating currency in Hong Kong, or about 39% of Hong Kong's M3 money supply.
