Benefiting from the recovery of the retail market and the tourism boom, BOC Hong Kong's credit card business continues to grow steadily, with the total quarterly transaction volume hitting a new high this year, with the most significant increase in the travel category.

Brian Ho, Deputy General Manager of BOC Credit Card (International), said that as Hong Kong's economy steadily recovers, it further stimulates the travel intentions of Hong Kong citizens. In the first quarter of this year, the total mileage redeemed by the bank's customers with credit card reward points increased by nearly 70% YoY. The first-quarter overseas transaction volume of the Cheers Card, which is designed specifically for travel enthusiasts, also increased by nearly 50% YoY, indicating a significant increase in travel-related spending.
