During the lunchtime, the Nikkei 225 futures were in a range of 38660 yen to 38730 yen with some consolidation. The dollar-yen exchange rate is around 155.70-80 yen, which is almost the same level as at around 9 am. In Asia, after the Shanghai Composite Index started slightly higher, it turned down and fell by about 0.4%, while the Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong fell by about 0.6% after a morning high. In the afternoon, the Tokyo market started with a little buying ahead of the morning close. The solid downward trend of the Nikkei Average in the morning and the steady performance of Dow average futures seem to be reassuring to the Tokyo market. However, some are holding back from active buying as tonight in the US, the May employment statistics will be announced and they want to see it first. In sectors, securities commodity futures, transportation equipment, and pharmaceuticals are showing the highest decrease rate, while nonferrous metals, marine transportation, and insurance are showing the highest increase rate. Among the transactions of the Tokyo main board market, Shionogi <4507>, SHIFT <3697>, Renesas <6723>, Advantest <6857>, Nidec <6594>, Toyota <7203>, Mitsubishi UFJ <8306>, Hokkaido Electric Power <9509>, Kansai Electric <9503>, and Daikin <6367> are declining.
