Mercari will hold a campaign where buyers using the "anshin kantei" service to authenticate their purchases will receive a full refund of their appraisal fees, while sellers will receive 50% off their sales commission. This service can be used from June 7th to June 30th, 2024 and is being operated by IVA Inc, which runs the authenticity verification service Fakebusters.

Since March 2024, Mercari has been offering a feature called "anshin kantei" which only allows sales of products verified to meet the criteria established by IVA, operator of the authenticity verification service, Fakebusters. ※1This feature has been well received, with many customers providing feedback that it made them feel more at ease using the service. ※2Customer surveys have included responses such as "I felt at ease completing the transaction", "I think it's safe for the buyer and would like to use it again", and "products that have been approved through anshin kantei appear to sell better".
When comparing sales rates within a week of posting, items that passed the anshin kantei process were 1.6 times more likely to sell.※3This indicates that setting merchandise up for anshin kantei generates more purchases.
To further promote the anshin kantei service and facilitate a safe environment, we have decided to hold a campaign offering a full refund of the appraisal fees for customers utilizing anshin kantei as well as a 50% refund of the sales commission for sellers.

- Purchased a single commodity with a value of 30,000 yen or more (excluding appraisal fees) using "Anshin Kantei" during the campaign period.
- The appraisal result is "exceeding standard" by July 7, 2024 (Sunday) 23:59.
[Seller]
- Tap the "Entry" button on the campaign page by the end of the campaign period.
- Posted one or more new items with a value of 10,000 yen or more and with "Anshin Kantei" setting during the campaign period.
- The item was sold by July 6, 2024 (Saturday) 23:59 from the end date of the campaign period.
