(Putrajaya, 29th) IOI Industries Group and Japan's Mitsubishi Real Estate Group's Residence Corporation are collaborating to develop GEMS Residences, a housing development project that combines residential and health care innovation for homebuyers.

Kaneda Soichiro said that according to research, by 2030, Malaysia's elderly population will account for 15% of the total population. Although most of the elderly population will remain healthy, their lifestyles will have different requirements. Therefore, they are collaborating with IOI Industries Group to address these changing needs and applying Japan's approach, including health concierge services and wheelchair-friendly residential units.

GEMS Residences, occupying 9.56 acres of permanent leasehold apartments, has a total of 676 units, with four 16-storey and four 34-storey residential buildings. The unit areas range from 969 to 1,690 square feet, with prices starting from RM650,000.
