On June 3rd (Monday), it was confirmed that a part of the internal network of our group company, Kyuhen Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Kyuhen), was subjected to unauthorized access (ransomware attack) by a third party, and there is a risk of leakage of our company's information.
Currently, we are investigating the details of the damage at Kyuhen, but the information that may have been leaked as of **** (Tuesday) is approximately 4,000 pieces of personal information used in the water heater sales business entrusted by our company to Kyuhen.
We have reported this matter to the relevant agencies, and in the future, we will contact each customer individually.
Furthermore, emergency measures have been implemented to prevent the spread of damage, such as stopping affected computers in Kyuhen, and disconnecting computers and data storage areas from the network.
Moreover, there is no impact on our company's systems or electrical supply.
