On Thursday local time, Trump was found guilty in his “sealing fee” case and was convicted on all 34 charges. Trump is now America's first former president to be convicted of a felony, but it's unclear whether this will affect his presidential campaign path.

The jury's decision had huge political ramifications and threatened to disrupt his efforts to seek re-election. So far, the Trump campaign has not been substantially attacked by its legal issues, which have fueled the enthusiasm of supporters.

Immediately after the verdict was announced, Trump launched a fundraising campaign on the campaign website, calling himself a “political prisoner.” Shortly thereafter, the Republican fundraising platform used by the Trump campaign crashed. Meanwhile, poll data has not changed much since the New York trial began in April, and he is still ahead of Biden nationally and in seven key swing states.

But now the situation is different: voters will have to consider whether they will send a felon to the White House.

Biden's campaign team also sought help from donors after the verdict, telling supporters on social platforms: “There is only one way to stop Trump from entering the Oval Office: at the ballot box.”

Republican strategist Doug Heye said the verdict would make it harder for Trump to win over a fluctuating electorate. There are plenty of voters who haven't decided yet because they don't like either of these two, which makes it harder for Trump to attract them. That doesn't mean he can't; it's just getting harder.

Given that the crime committed by Trump is a low-level felony, the maximum sentence is four years, and he probably won't go to jail. Foreign media said that Trump can file an appeal, and he will almost certainly do so. His lawyer may file a motion to set aside the judgment, but this is likely to be rejected. He can then appeal to the New York Intermediate Court of Appeals, and then to the New York State Court of Appeals. This process is likely to last several months and is unlikely to end before election day.

To be clear, he can still run for president. There is no provision in the Constitution prohibiting criminals from holding federal office. But if he wins the election after being imprisoned, things could get complicated.

The verdict sparked a mixture of pain and joy across America. In New York, spontaneous festivities were reminiscent of the day Biden was declared president, and Mayor Eric Adams (Eric Adams) said the police were “ready” to respond to large-scale protests.

Bill Ackman agreed with Florida Governor DeSantis on social platforms, arguing that the verdict was for “political purposes.” The hedge fund billionaire is leaning towards supporting Trump.

After weeks of silence, the jury in this case can now decide how much to say about the review.

Yesterday, after a website dealing with Trump campaign donations crashed, one of Trump's senior advisors told supporters on social platforms to keep trying, and that some well-off people are happy to donate.

Sequoia Capital partner Shaun Maguire (Shaun Maguire) said he donated $300,000 to Trump's campaign and wrote on social platforms: “The timing was no coincidence.”

Former New York State Representative Lee Zeldin (Lee Zeldin) also claimed on social platforms that he “locked in” $800,000 in donations for Trump's Joint Fundraising Committee. “Never before have I experienced such an easy request for a large sum,” the Republican wrote.
