Glonghui, May 31 | The A-share market rushed higher and fell in early trading. As of midday trading, the Shanghai Index was up 0.27%, the Shenzhen Index was up 0.36%, and the GEM Index was up 0.54%. The half-day turnover of the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets was 445.4 billion yuan, an increase of 4 billion dollars over the previous trading day. In terms of sectors, AIPC, commercial aerospace, humanoid robots, and high-speed connectors registered the highest gains, while sectors such as automobile dismantling, phosphorous chemicals, non-ferrous metals, and shipping registered the highest declines. In terms of ETFs, Hong Kong pharmaceutical stocks rose, while Huitianfu Fund's Hong Kong Stock Connect Innovative Drug ETF and Yinhua Fund's Hong Kong Stock Innovative Drug ETF rose 2.48% and 2.36% respectively. The automotive sector was active, and Cathay Pacific Fund's smart car ETF rose 2.07%. The defense and military sector boosted, with Harvest Fund's high-end equipment ETF and Penghua Fund's defense ETF rising 1.92% and 1.79% respectively. The software sector rose, with Huaan Fund Software ETF Fund and E-Fangda Fund Software 30 ETF rising by 1.72% and 1.68% respectively. The PV sector had the highest decline, with the PV 30 ETF falling 1.68%. As the chip sector adjusted, chip equipment ETFs and semiconductor equipment ETFs fell 1.37% and 1.34% respectively. The non-ferrous metals sector continued to weaken, with mining ETFs and non-ferrous metal ETF funds falling 1.29% and 1.15% respectively. The agricultural sector declined, and aquaculture ETFs fell 1.16%.
