On Wednesday, May 29th, U.S. stock markets closed in red as the U.S. stocks Wednesday amid rising Treasury yields and uncertainty over Federal Reserve interest rate cuts. The Dow fell over 1%, hitting a nearly one-month low.
According to the economic data, the Dallas Fed's business activity index for Texas' service sector fell to -12.1 in May from -10.6 in April.
All S&P 500 sectors ended lower, with rate-sensitive utilities experiencing some of the steepest declines.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 1.06% and closed at 38,441.54. The S&P 500 declined 0.74%, ending the day at 5,266.95, and the Nasdaq Composite fell 0.58%, finishing the session at 16,920.58.

- China's Shanghai Shenzhen CSI 300 and Shanghai Composite indexes fell after a 20% rally due to profit-taking, U.S.-China trade concerns, and uncertainty about Beijing's stimulus measures.
- Hong Kong's Hang Seng ended the session lower by 1.34% at 18,230.19.
