Tokyu Corporation (hereafter, Tokyu) and Central Japan Railway Company (hereafter, JR Tokai) will operate the cruise train “THE ROYAL EXPRESS ~ SHIZUOKA · FUJI CRUISE TRAIN ~” (hereafter, this plan) for the purpose of tourism promotion and regional revitalization in Shizuoka Prefecture. This plan is a 3 night 4 day plan that departs from Yokohama and returns to Yokohama via Atami, visiting various regions such as Mishima, Hamamatsu, and Shizuoka.
This plan utilizes “THE ROYAL EXPRESS” operated by Tokyu since 2017, East Japan Railway Company (JR East) operates between Yokohama and Atami, and JR Tokai is responsible for operation between Atami and Shizuoka - Hamamatsu - Arai, and it is an effort aimed at tourism promotion and regional revitalization where multiple railway operators cooperate.
The outline of this plan is as follows.
○ Operation period: From 2024/11/8 (Friday) to 12/16 (Monday), a total of 6 trips for 3 nights and 4 days
〇Operation area: Yokohama - Atami, Mishima, Numazu, Hamamatsu, Shizuoka - Yokohama
〇Travel fee: 750,000 yen per person ~
〇Characteristics of the trip: The beautiful nature of Shizuoka at the foot of Mt. Fuji, traditional culture, seafood that can only be enjoyed in Shizuoka, cuisine that makes full use of mountain food,
We will deliver a trip full of charm in Shizuoka with everyone in the region, such as inns where you can feel the hospitality, music, etc.
Both companies aim to contribute to regional revitalization in Shizuoka Prefecture by making maximum use of regional cooperation efforts carried out by JR Tokai in Shizuoka Prefecture and regional revitalization know-how through Tokyu's “THE ROYAL EXPRESS” and providing attractive travel products.
