MANASSAS, Va., May 29, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Electra.aero, Inc. (Electra), a next-gen aerospace company committed to decarbonizing aviation and opening new air transportation markets, today announced that it has successfully achieved the first high-performance ultra-short flight operations of its piloted blown-lift hybrid-electric short takeoff and landing (eSTOL) demonstrator aircraft (EL-2 Goldfinch).

Durig the flight test campaign, the longest flight lasted 1 hour 43 minutes, and the EL-2 Goldfinch reached an altitude of 6,500 feet.
