Gelonghui, May 24 | The A-share market rushed higher and fell in early trading. As of midday trading, the Shanghai Index was down 0.16%, the Shenzhen Index was down 0.39%, and the GEM Index was down 0.73%. The half-day turnover of the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets was 470.6 billion yuan, down 56.8 billion from the previous trading day. In terms of sectors, sectors such as electricity, high-speed copper cable connections, dairy, and pork registered the highest gains, while sectors such as real estate, low-altitude economy, AI mobile phones, and military industry registered the highest declines. In terms of ETFs, the power sector had the highest increase. Bosch Fund Electric Power ETF Fund and E-Fangda Fund Green Power ETF both rose 2.88%. Small-cap stocks strengthened, and Huaxia Fund's China Securities 1000 value ETF rose 2.87%. The energy sector is active, with ICBC Credit Suisse Fund Energy ETF and Bosch Fund Central Enterprise Modern Energy ETF up 1.66% and 1.65% respectively. The agricultural sector boosted; Wells Fargo Fund agricultural ETF and CCF agricultural and animal husbandry ETF rose 1.34% and 1.24% respectively. Hong Kong pharmaceutical stocks declined across the board. The Hong Kong Stock Connect Innovative Drug ETF and the Hong Kong Stock Innovative Drug ETF fell 4.09% and 3.83% respectively. The real estate sector continued to weaken, with real estate ETF and real estate ETF Huaxia falling by 3.22% and 3.15% respectively.
