Shareholders May Not Overlook Shoals Technologies Group Insiders Selling US$511k In Stock

Simply Wall St ·  May 23 21:57

Despite a 13% gain in Shoals Technologies Group, Inc.'s (NASDAQ:SHLS) stock price this week, shareholders shouldn't let up. Even though stock prices were relatively low, insiders elected to sell US$511k worth of stock in the last year, which could indicate some expected downturn.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Shoals Technologies Group

The General Counsel, Mehgan Peetz, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for US$180k worth of shares at a price of US$24.78 each. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. The good news is that this large sale was at well above current price of US$7.64. So it may not shed much light on insider confidence at current levels.

In the last year Shoals Technologies Group insiders didn't buy any company stock. You can see the insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year depicted in the chart below.
