By the end of April, the country's cumulative installed power generation capacity was about 3.01 billion kilowatts, an increase of 14.1% over the previous year. Among them, the installed capacity of solar power generation was about 670 million kilowatts, up 52.4% year on year; the installed capacity of wind power was about 460 million kilowatts, up 20.6% year on year.
From January to April, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 1,097 hours, a decrease of 49 hours over the same period last year. Among them, wind power was 789 hours, a decrease of 77 hours over the same period last year; solar power generation was 373 hours, a decrease of 42 hours over the same period last year; 2,471 hours of nuclear power, 1 hour less than the same period of the previous year; 785 hours of hydropower, an increase of 48 hours over the same period of the previous year; and 1,448 hours of thermal power, an increase of 23 hours over the same period of the previous year.
In January-April, the country's major power generation enterprises completed investment of 191.2 billion yuan in power supply projects, an increase of 5.2% over the previous year. The power grid project completed an investment of 122.9 billion yuan, an increase of 24.9% over the previous year.
