Fisco Japan ·  May 17 12:31

Scala <4845> announced consolidated financial results (IFRS) for the 3rd quarter (23/7/24 to 3/24) of the fiscal year ending 2024/6 on the 15th. Sales revenue based on non-GAAP indicators decreased 10.1% from the same period last year to 8.376 billion yen, operating loss was 195 million yen (profit of 374 million yen in the same period last year), loss before income tax was 215 million yen (profit of 360 million yen), and quarterly loss attributable to owners of parent companies was 182 million yen (profit of 223 million yen).

The company group is proceeding with business structural reforms through business selection, concentration, and cost reduction in order to drastically improve group profitability centered on the DX business, which is an important foundation, for the 2025/6 fiscal year and beyond, and is providing services to the private sector, government, and local governments at home and abroad, and is continuing to work to achieve goals.

Sales revenue declined for the cumulative period of the third quarter. Although the EC business continued to perform well, there were effects such as a temporary decline in development projects, termination of the GoTo travel business, and contraction of the nationwide travel support business, mainly in the DX business. As for profit, operating profit and loss became a loss. This is mainly due to the effects of a decline in sales revenue in the DX business, cancellation fees, etc. for office reduction due to business structural reforms, and impairment losses such as tangible fixed assets and goodwill.

For the full fiscal year ending 2024/6 based on IFRS, the consolidated earnings forecast announced on 4/25 with sales revenue of 8.30 billion yen, operating loss of 1100 billion yen, loss before income tax of 1100 billion yen, and net loss attributable to owners of the parent company of 2.70 billion yen remains unchanged.
