The three major indices collectively declined after experiencing a slight surge in early trading, and the decline deepened closer to midday trading. As of midday trading, the Hang Seng Index fell 0.85%, the State-owned Enterprises Index fell 0.84%, the Hang Seng Technology Index fell 1.98%, and the market had a half-day turnover of HK$62,943 billion.

By the midday close, Hong Kong stocks had risen 722, down 980, and closed at 1309.

On the sector side, photovoltaic solar energy stocks led the reversal of the market. GCL Technology rose more than 6%, Follett Glass rose more than 4%, Rainbow New Energy rose more than 3%, and Fuyao Glass rose nearly 3%.

TechNet stocks declined, with Bilibili falling more than 6%, NetEase falling more than 4%, Kuaishou and Meituan falling nearly 4%, and Baidu Group, Alibaba, and Jingdong Group falling more than 2%.

Concept stocks declined during the holiday season. Huazhu Group fell more than 3%, Jiumaojiu fell nearly 3%, and Haidilao and Xiabuxiabu fell more than 2%.

The pharmaceutical outsourcing concept is weak. Viva Biotech fell by more than 4%, Kingsley Biotech and Pharmaceutical Biotech fell nearly 3%, and Kanglong Chemical fell more than 2%.
