Singapore shares finished higher on Monday, tracking gains in global markets despite a cautious investor outlook.
During the day, the benchmark Singapore Strait Times Index ranged between 3,264.11 and 3,282.05, ending 0.06% or 1.95 points higher at 3,282.05.
In economic news, Singapore's Import Price Index fell 3.6% in March from a year ago after a 5.3% drop in February, according to a Department of Statistics report.
Meanwhile, Singapore's Domestic Supply Price Index fell 1.6% year over year in March, following a 3% decrease in February, according to a city-state's Department of Statistics report.
In company news, Don Agro's (SGX:GRQ) shares surged 31% after its wholly owned subsidiary, JSC Tetra entered into preliminary sale and purchase agreements with Agroholding Porostory for the disposal of 99.99% of shares in Don Agro LLC, and 90% of shares in Don Muchnov LLC.
