According to the Zhitong Finance App, China Resources Building Materials Technology (01313) announced its results for the first quarter of 2024, with a turnover of about 4.788 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 5.6%; loss attributable to the company's owners was 28.874 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3.69%; and a basic loss of 0.004 yuan per share.

The consolidated gross margin for the period was 13.8%, up 1.8 percentage points from 12.0% in the same period in 2023. The increase in comprehensive gross profit and gross margin during the period was mainly due to an increase in aggregate sales during the period compared to the same period in 2023. The gross margins of cement, clinker, concrete and aggregate for the period were 11.3%, 2.3%, 13.0% and 35.3%, respectively, while the same period in 2023 was 10.8%, 6.2%, 9.6% and 48.7%, respectively.
