Gelonghui, April 22 | Fosun Tourism Culture (01992.HK) announced that for the three-month period ending March 31, 2024, the Group's Club Med and other, Sanya Atlantis, Vacation Asset Management Center and related businesses (collectively known as travel operations) increased by about 15.8% from approximately RMB 6,182 million in the three-month period ending March 31, 2023 to approximately RMB 7,158 million.
Benefiting from further recovery in the global travel market and effective implementation of the company's strategy, Club Med's revenue reached approximately RMB 6,082 million in the first quarter of 2024, an increase of about 15.2% over the same period of 2023 and an increase of about 66.2% over the same period of 2022. In the first quarter of 2024, Club Med's capacity increased by about 6.8% compared to the same period in 2023, and increased by about 127.9% over the same period in 2022. The global average room occupancy rate reached about 76.9%, an increase of 1.4 percentage points over the same period in 2023 and an increase of 9.4 percentage points over the same period in 2022. In the first quarter of 2024, the average daily bed price was approximately RMB 2,190, an increase of approximately 8.8% and 17.9%, respectively, compared with the same period in 2023 and 2022. In the first quarter of 2024, Club Med's unaudited net profit increased steadily compared to the same period of 2023 and 2022, benefiting from continued business growth in the European, African, Middle East and American markets and a strong rebound in the Asia-Pacific region.
In the first quarter of 2024, thanks to the continued release of vacation demand after the restart of domestic tourism in China, the turnover of Atlantis Sanya reached approximately RMB 576 million, an increase of about 4.5% over the same period in 2023. In the first quarter of 2024, Atlantis Sanya received about 2.1 million visitors, an increase of about 7.5% over the same period in 2023. The average daily room rate reached about RMB 2,500, a decrease of 2.8% compared with the same period in 2023, due to an increase in the business structure of meetings, incentive trips, large corporate meetings and events. The average room occupancy rate reached about 95.0%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points over the same period in 2023. Meanwhile, Lijiang Mediterranean International Resort's operations continued to improve, and recorded operating revenue of approximately RMB 25 million in the first quarter of 2024, an increase of about 19.9% over the same period in 2023.
Thanks to core business growth contributions, the Group's unaudited profit attributable to the company's shareholders continued to increase in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023.
With the full recovery of the global travel market, the Group's global business continues to improve. As of April 13, 2024, the cumulative number of bookings recorded by Club Med for the first half of 2024 was calculated at a consistent exchange rate, expressed in the revenue of accommodation, travel and services (BV STS), an increase of about 13% compared to the first half of 2023 recorded in the same period of 2023, and an increase of about 50% over the first half of 2022 (during the pandemic) recorded in the same period of 2022. Meanwhile, as of April 13, 2024, the cumulative number of bookings recorded for the second half of 2024 is calculated at a consistent exchange rate. According to BV STS, it is an increase of about 10% compared to the second half of 2023 recorded in the same period of 2023, and an increase of about 24% over the second half of 2022 (during the pandemic) recorded in the same period of 2022.
