Futu News reported on April 22 that the three major indices of Hong Kong stocks rose one after another. As of midday trading, the Hang Seng Index rose 1.74%, the Science Index rose 1.95%, and the China Index rose 1.59%.
By the midday close, Hong Kong stocks had risen by 997, down 683, and closed at 1,315.
On the sector side, TechNet stocks rose; Meituan and Tencent rose nearly 5%; Jingdong rose nearly 4%; NetEase, Bilibili, and Alibaba rose more than 3%; Kuaishou rose more than 2%; and Baidu rose nearly 1%.
A number of auto stocks fell, with Ideal Auto and Great Wall Motor falling more than 6%, Xiaopeng Motors falling more than 1%, and BYD shares falling slightly.
Gold stocks generally fell. Shandong Gold and Zhaojin Mining fell more than 6%, Zijin Mining fell nearly 4%, and China Gold International fell nearly 3%.
Many insurance stocks rose. Zhongan Online rose more than 4%, China Life Insurance and China Ping An rose more than 3%, China Taibao rose nearly 3%, and AIA Insurance rose nearly 2%.
Shipping stocks rose one after another. Pacific Shipping rose more than 5%, Orient Overseas International rose more than 3%, and COSCO Maritime Control rose more than 1%.
On the other side, beer stocks, pork concept stocks, pharmaceutical stocks, domestic housing stocks, and property management stocks showed active performance; petroleum stocks pulled back across the board.
