Barclays plc (GB:BARC) has released an update.
Barclays PLC has recently bought back 3.92 million of its own shares, aiming to cancel them, which will leave the company with over 15 billion shares with voting rights. The buy-back, executed through J.P. Morgan Securities, is part of an ongoing program initiated on February 21, 2024, with the company having repurchased over 175 million shares to date. The cancellation of these shares is a move that could potentially benefit remaining shareholders by increasing the value of their holdings.
