By the midday close, Hong Kong stocks had risen 912, down 697, and closed at 1,384.

On the sector side, SciNet stocks had mixed ups and downs. Bilibili and Xiaomi rose about 2%, Kuaishou fell nearly 3%, NetEase fell more than 2%, Ali, Meituan, and Baidu fell more than 1%, and JD fell slightly.

Heavy infrastructure stocks generally rose. China Zhongzhi and China Railway rose about 3%, and China Communications Construction and China Railway Construction rose about 2%.

Gaming stocks continued to recover, with Galaxy Entertainment falling more than 5%, Sands China falling more than 3%, and Wynn Macau falling nearly 2%.
