The board of directors of Cypark Resources Bhd has requested selected key senior management officers, including its group CEO Datuk Daud Ahmad, to take unrecorded leave to facilitate an independent and transparent review process.
The move is part of the ongoing strategic review of its business that began on February 28.
As part of the strategic review, Cypark had previously redesignated its chair Datuk Hamidah Moris as executive chair, and non-ED Muhammad Ashraf Muhammad Amir as executive director.
With the redesignation of Hamidah and Muhammad Ashraf to executive positions, they will assume senior leadership responsibilities in the interim, ensuring continuity of projects and business operations.
The strategic review encompasses all current and potential future business segments of Cypark, including renewable energy, construction and engineering, waste management, waste-to-energy, green technology, and environmental services.
The group aims to evaluate its operational frameworks and competencies, strengthen strategic partnerships, embrace holistic ESG practices, and enhance competitiveness through this review process.
Cypark's shares saw a slight increase of half a sen, or 0.55%, closing at 91.5 sen today, with a market capitalisation of RM752.89 million.
