According to the Zhitong Finance App, Huzhou Gas (06661) announced the results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group achieved revenue of 2,436 billion yuan (RMB, same below) during the period, a year-on-year decrease of 5.58%; profit attributable to owners of the parent company was 111 million yuan, an increase of 6.48% over the previous year; basic profit per share was 0.55 yuan; and a final dividend of 0.3 yuan per share is proposed.

According to the announcement, the decline in revenue is mainly due to a reduction in natural gas sales prices for non-residential households starting in 2023. The Group's gross profit for the year was $267 million, an increase of 133.21% over the previous year's $114 million. Natural gas purchase prices fell during the reporting period, the Group's natural gas procurement costs were reduced, and gross profit increased dramatically.
