針對內地向WTO起訴美國阻礙電動汽車製造商從內地採購電池材料的規定，國家商務部新聞發言人何亞東表示，美方以應對氣候變化低碳環境為名，出台《通脹消減法》及其實施細則，以使用美國等特定地區產品作為補貼前提，制訂出台歧視性的補貼政策，這扭曲公平競爭，嚴重擾亂全球新能源汽車產業鏈和供應鏈，違反相關世貿規則。
何亞東表示，中方起訴既是正當之舉，是為堅定捍衛以規則為基礎的多邊貿易體制，堅決維護新能源汽車全球產業鏈和供應鏈穩定。
