S&P confirmed the US long-term sovereign credit rating as “AA+” and the short-term sovereign credit rating as “A-1+” on Thursday
The Zhitong Finance App learned that the global rating agency S&P confirmed America's long-term sovereign credit rating as “AA+” and the short-term sovereign credit rating as “A-1+” on Thursday, and kept the long-term rating outlook “stable.”
S&P said, “The US economy is diversified and resilient, its economic growth is steady, and its monetary policy has broad flexibility. Its unique position as the world's major issuer of reserve currency supports America's sovereign rating.”
S&P anticipates that the Federal Reserve System, which provides significant monetary policy flexibility to the US, will meet the challenges of reducing domestic inflation and addressing financial market fragility.
Earlier this month, rating agency Fitch confirmed America's long-term foreign currency sovereign credit rating as “AA+,” and the rating outlook is “stable.”
