According to the Zhitong Finance App, Intercontinental Shipping (02409) announced the results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group achieved revenue of US$259 million, a year-on-year decrease of 27.87%; profit attributable to the company's shareholders of US$21.121 million, a year-on-year decrease of 62.99%; basic profit per share of US$0.045; it is proposed to pay a final dividend of HK$0.15 per share and a special dividend of HK$0.115 per share.

The Group's revenue mainly comes from two business lines: shipping services; and ship management services. Revenue from the Group's shipping services decreased from approximately US$306 million, or 32.0%, to approximately US$208 million for the year ended 31 December 2022, mainly due to a decrease in demand for global trade and shipping services this year, as well as a decrease in chartering and freight charges in the current year's market.

Revenue from the Group's ship management services decreased from about US$53.2 million or 4.1% for the year ended December 31, 2022 to about US$51.1 million this year, mainly due to a decrease in the number of ships the Group charges management fees on a package basis (service fees charged are usually higher) despite the increase in the total number of ships managed by the Group.
