In the autumn of 2010, Xiao Yang went out to travel with his classmates during the first National Day holiday after he went to college. No matter where he went, cash was essential. Although I don't like to take cash, there is nothing I can do about it. During the 2019 National Day holiday, Xiao Yang and his friends went out to drive without cash, but they were not afraid. As long as there was a mobile phone, payment could be realized at any time. Xiao Yang thinks mobile payment is really life-changing.

In less than 10 years, mobile payment has gone deep into the lives of ordinary people from weak to huge, and has become an indispensable part of people's lives. According to the recent Research report on China's Mobile payment Industry in the first half of 2019, the scale of mobile payment transactions in China reached 166.1 trillion yuan in the first half of 2019, and the number of mobile payment users in China is expected to reach 733 million in 2019. Dong Ximiao, a special researcher at the National Finance and Development Laboratory, said that the rapid growth of online payments (Internet payments and mobile payments) is behind the change in public payment preference, and the scale of online payment transactions continues to rise. this is also a portrayal of the development of China's online payment market.

Rapid growth of overseas mobile payment

In the past, in addition to preparing a passport, outbound travel had to exchange the currency in circulation at the destination for a rainy day. However, with the popularity of mobile payment, after leaving the country to ensure the smooth flow of mobile phones, you can complete the payment anytime and anywhere, whether it is play or shopping is much more convenient.

Just past the National Day Golden week, overseas mobile payment ushered in another outbreak. During the National Day Golden week, overseas mobile payments reached another record high, with per capita payments reaching nearly 2500 yuan, an increase of 14 percent over the same period last year, and individual consumption increased by 11 percent over the same period last year, according to data released by Alipay and Flying Pig.

Specifically, from the perspective of overseas per capita consumption, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Jiangsu ranked the top three, followed by Liaoning, Tianjin and Beijing. The per capita mobile payment consumption of these six provinces and cities exceeded 3000 yuan. In terms of growth, Tibet ranks first, reaching 36%. In terms of age, the number of "post-00s" has increased by as much as 130%, and the number of "pre-60" people has increased by nearly 30%.

While China's mobile payment is going global, the world is also actively embracing mobile payment. More and more foreign merchants choose Alipay, Wechat and other mobile payment platforms. According to statistics, during the "National Day" Golden week, 300000 merchants in 55 countries and regions around the world hung up Alipay blue QR codes, receiving more than a million in the first four days of Golden week alone.

Biotechnology improves payment efficiency

After the rapid development of code-scanning payment in the mobile payment market, biotechnology is gradually introduced, such as facial scanning payment. Many stores have installed machines that can be paid in a few seconds. This eliminates the trouble of not being able to scan the code to pay because the mobile phone has no power or no cell phone signal.

Major enterprises have gradually begun to use facial scanning payment, Alipay developed "dragonfly" and Wechat developed "Wechat Frog". All of them are gradually laying out the facial scanning payment market, and at the same time, they are also adopting subsidy strategies. to help businesses establish hardware facilities and cultivate consumers' facial scanning payment habits.

Regulators are also strengthening top-level design to promote the orderly development of the facial scanning payment market. According to the Financial Technology (FinTech) Development Plan (2019-2021) issued by the people's Bank of China, "explore the security application of offline payment based on face recognition, and build a transfer and settlement model with facial features as routing marks by licensed financial institutions."

In addition, many other biotechnologies are also gradually exploring into the field of payment, including voice prints, eye prints, palmprints and so on. Especially the voiceprint technology, according to relevant experts, because the hardware cost of the acquisition equipment is low (ordinary microphone is OK) and the forgery is difficult, it is likely to become the biometric technology that can be applied in financial payment products as soon as possible after fingerprints and human faces. Thus it can be seen that the future mobile payment will become more and more yuan, more and more convenient.

Besides convenience, we should also pay attention to safety.

The convenience brought by mobile payment is obvious to all, but the risks behind it can not be ignored. We must strengthen the protection of technology, law and other aspects, so that mobile payment can benefit the people rather than cause trouble.

Nowadays, mobile payment often needs to be bound with users' bank cards, so the payment platform has a lot of users' bank card information. If personal information is leaked and users' bank card information is illegally stolen and used, it may endanger the property security of users. A lot of telecom fraud occurs because the payment platform loses personal information.

Biotechnology has brought about changes in the mode of mobile payment, but it also brings corresponding risks. Take facial scanning payment as an example, the basic principle is to compare the information collected by the terminal hardware with the information stored in the cloud to see whether the information is consistent, and then unlock the face payment. Therefore, if the information of cloud biological database is leaked, face payment may face greater risk.

This is also a point that consumers are generally worried about. If the biological database information is leaked and used by lawbreakers, it will first be the security of personal accounts, and then there may be a series of serious consequences.

Liu Junhai, a professor at the School of Law at Renmin University of China, said that for facial scan payments, regulators should issue corresponding laws and regulations as soon as possible to strengthen supervision. In addition, enterprises should also exercise self-discipline to ensure the information security of consumers and reduce the security risks of facial scanning payment.
