According to the Zhitong Finance App, Guangqi Science (00439) announced the results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group obtained revenue of HK$83.139 million, an increase of 58.29% over the previous year; losses attributable to the company owners were HK$7.295 million, a decrease of 89.26% over the previous year; and a loss of 1.18 HK cents per share.

According to the announcement, the main reason for the increase in revenue and the narrowing of losses is the Group's artificial intelligence business continues to grow, the smart helmet business is developing steadily, and the new tooling metal structural parts business is developing rapidly, which has led to an increase in overall sales revenue and good operating performance. At the same time, the order and customer scale have increased. In terms of overseas investment, the Group disposed of the shares of Irisity AB, an overseas listed company it invested in during the year, confirming that the fair value change loss was approximately HK$600,000 (FY2022: loss from change in fair value of approximately HK$19.5 million). On the other hand, sales, operation, and administrative expenses have been drastically reduced due to the Group's strict implementation of cost reduction and efficiency through optimization of marketing and sales strategies, effective control of various operating expenses, and continuous improvement of internal control construction.
