According to the Zhitong Finance App, Rishi International (00842) announced the results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The Group's revenue was RMB 13.471 billion (same unit), up 4.9% year on year; profit attributable to shareholders was RMB 535 million, up 11.3% year on year; profit per share was 0.39 yuan; and proposed final dividend of HK7 cents per share.

The announcement said that during the period, backup batteries were still the biggest contributor to revenue, but the growth rate of starter batteries was accelerating. Unlike the major contribution of overseas business to battery business growth in the past two years, the high growth in the Chinese market has overshadowed the lackluster performance of overseas markets. The Group believes that the overseas economy is recovering slowly, but with its continued efforts, the performance will be better in 2024. Despite this, the three battery businesses all performed to varying degrees during the period.
